Charitha Kankanamge is Manager, Quality Assurance and Senior Technical Lead at WSO2 with more than 9 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Charitha is specialized in SOA and middleware testing. He lead the WSO2 QA team since 2007. He is also a committer of the Apache Software Foundation contributing to Apache web services project. Charitha is interested in researching new technologies in software-testing space as well as new trends in agile and exploratory testing processes.

Prior to joining WSO2, Charitha has worked at Virtusa inc. for 3 years where he was involved in multiple on-site and off-shore project assignments. In his rare offline moments, he enjoys playing guitar and watching movies.

Charitha has been involved in reviewing two books, Apache Jmeter, Emilly H. Halili and Quick Start Apache Axis2, Deepal Jayasinghe both being published by Packt Publishing.

Best because there is not much choice

This is a useful book. It does not cover too much, in spite of its physical size. It is too verbose too. But given that there are no other books, web manual is poor, and the topic is very important, I give it 4 stars. Thanks that it is written- definitely better than nothing.

Comprehensive and well written

The book is a very efficient guide to using soapUI. It introduces all the soapUI functions and provides a thorough explanation.

There's also a user guide on soapUI website, but this book is much better organized and easier to understand.

The book is a very good choice both for beginners and those who want to explore soapUI in more detail.

I received my review copy of Web Services Testing with soapUI a few days ago and I'm pretty much indifferent with this book. On one hand, there isn't a lot of books out there dealing with soapUI, so it's hard to compare it to others on the market. The book is alright-- it covers the basics of installation and configuration as well as conducting some discussion surrounding webservices in general. If you're new to webservices or soapUI, this book could provide some value with you.

Exemplary Work

Master Ron Gatewood went where very few in the art of Kung Fu San Soo dared to go...into the past of Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo, and at considerable expense and thousands of hours of research probed some tender areas of his past, no one ever questioned.
Master Gatewood explored all available sources to shed light into the dark corners and hidden recesses of Jimmy Woo's family, his martial lineage and training, and his arrival in the US. Most of us in this art were reared on numerous stories and sometimes conflicting accounts of the origin of the art. As students, we never questioned him; he was beyond reproach.
We're fortunate that Master Gatewood has the level of love and respect for the man, that he could explore, interview, and investigate our lineage and Jimmy's past without incurring suspicions and anger of family members. In the end...the alphabet I learned in kindergarten in my youth, is the same as someone else anywhere in the country several hundred years ago. In essence...the teaching is sound, solid, and beyond question. It's just that, a little more creative license was used in the storytelling than what we wanted to believe. I don't care.
Anyone who met and knew Grandmaster Jimmy H. Woo, and trained under him directly or several generations later, are honored and privileged to have done so. Personally, I loved the man, and so do those who knew him. Master Gatewood's book allowed me greater insight to the man, his times, and his journey in a way I couldn't have know otherwise. I'll always be Grateful for Master Ron Gatewood's extraordinary book,"Kung Fu San Soo History and Myths".

Nice work Master Gatewood!

I enjoyed this book! It was nice to relive the early years of San Soo through Master Gatewood's reflections, recollections, corrections and clarifications. The book does an excellent job of researching, organizing and presenting the origins of this Ancient Chinese fighting art in a frank and honest way. Master Gatewood is careful to note when information may be circumstantial or speculative. Agree or disagree, his work is sure to stimulate reflections and recollections in those who knew Grand Master Woo and in the end I believe that the reader, San Soo practitioner or martial art enthusiast, will find this book endearing and educational.

It is the nature of good historical writings to delve into and present the once public and private details of the lives of individuals in fair, respectful and factual manner. Research and discovery are essential to this process or some might say that lacking disclosure or conclusion, a book can not be call 'historical or biographical'.

Master Gatewood was witness to a great and wise teacher who transformed the lives of his students and instilled in them knowledge that would have been unavailable to the masses. This book is a first-hand biographical and historical tribute to a man of vast accomplishment; The Grand Master of Kung-Fu San Soo, Jimmy H. Woo. Accuracy only makes the telling of his story, better and his memory and legacy more indelible.

I know and love Kung Fu San Soo as if it were my only begotten first born son.

I smiled , I laughed , I shed more than a tear.

This is a book of a man's lifelong love for his art, his wish to share it with others and his courage to tell the truth.

The book speaks for itself.

Master Gatewood deserves the equal respect he has for his mentor.

As a former meteorologist, pilot, air traffic controller, flight service specialist, and aviation weather instructor at a local college, I have found this to be the best aviation weather book on the market. I would also recommend its companion, Aviation Weather Laboratory Manual. Understanding weather is the most important training a pilot can have. The majority of aircraft accidents are weather related. Understanding how weather forms and what causes it to change will not only make flying safer for pilots, their crew, and also passengers. Understanding how weather forms and what causes it to change will also allow pilots to get more safe flight time hours when other less knowledgeable pilots are staying on the ground. Peter F. Lester, along with being a college professor, is also a pilot. He knows what he is talking about and has many years experience teaching the subject. Instructors may also want to purchase Aviation Weather Instructor's Guide and Aviation Weather Images. The Foremost Text on Aviation Weather

This text delves into the subject of Aviation Weather thoroughly. It describes weather systems, their formation and movement relative to the aviation community. Prior to becoming a student pilot, my fascination with meteorology amounted to looking out the window to check precipitation and icing, and walking out the door to check temperature. This text sheds light on how weather affects aviation. That said; it is a textbook. It is informative in nature, and should be viewed as such. In other words, expect the theory... I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was expecting when picking up a text book (presumably for an Aviation Meteorology class,) but to reassure those that may be unsure; this isn't a riveting novel. The information provided is commensurate with that of the Flight Theory, Air Traffic Control and other aviation texts used in the classroom.

As all of the books of the HBR's 10 Must Read, this book is an excellent collection of strategic articles of the Change Management, full of practical examples and cases. A real Must Read! So, read it! Recommended to every manager unhappy with the current situation and results of his/her organization and team.

Very Useful---Despite Its Somewhat Academic Leanings

Here we have HBR re-purposing Harvard Business Review articles on change. Virtually all were written by experienced and respected academics. While I found some of the articles a little dry and most had an academic orientation, I found the book quite useful.

I trust senior executives will also find it helpful (along with Leverage authored by John Childress). HBR's On Change Management has more theoretical leanings while Leverage has more of a practitioner's point-of-view. Both books compliment each other.

John Kotter's article is a classic. His work in the field of 'change' has proved ground-breaking. Michael Beer's article 'Why Change Programs Don't Produce Change' is excellent. I concur whole heartedly with Beer's conclusion about putting 'focused energy on the work itself' as opposed to relying so much on systems and structure as the lever for change.

Overall, an important book for those charged with oversight responsibilities in successfully implementing organizational change.

Good content, but limiting Digital Rights Management

The content of this book is useful, but it has restrictive digital rights that severely marginalize it for me. I downloaded it onto two or three computers at my workplaces, and now it says I can't authorize it on any more devices. It is such a huge book that my tablet is very slow navigating it. I would have been better off getting a subscription to an online drug reference.

Don't Bother!

At a glance product looks identical to new version, but there are some differences. Professor would not except. I contacted seller & they were very nice, but with return shipping & restocking fee not worth the effort to return! Stick with Used books from your college bookstore!

cornerstone 4th edition

I bought this book for school not realizing there was a 5th edition out. I never used this book and it was a waste of money. It was very cheap luckily, now I know why.
